In collaboration with The Children’s School for Early Development, which specializes in preschool education for children with developmental disabilities, we offer one inclusion classroom for preschoolers. This classroom for three year olds consists of six children from the Children’s School and eight children enrolled in the Elizabeth Mascia Child Care Center. Staff members from both the Children’s School and the Elizabeth Mascia Child Care Center are in the classroom at all times. The Children’s School provides various specialists, including an occupational therapist, a speech therapist and a social worker. Whether initiated by the Elizabeth Mascia Center or the Children’s School, all of the children in the inclusion classroom participate together in group activities.
